The UK Go is not the overseas 22 kW model
This page covers the UK single-phase Go with open-PEN fault detection. Zaptec’s own UK shop identifies the black version as 900-00008. Some international Go material describes different power configurations; those figures should not be applied to this ordering variant. Manufacturer listing.
Zaptec Go 2 is a separate model. Its MID meter, display and bidirectional-ready positioning do not become features of the original Go.
A removable cable and a compact enclosure
Go uses a Type 2 socket, so the vehicle lead is a separate equipment choice. The app can lock a cable in place if that better suits your daily routine. The six cover colours shown by Zaptec are appearance options; this page’s price table uses Asphalt Black consistently.
When planning the mounting point, allow room for the connected plug, the cable bend and safe storage. The case dimensions alone do not describe all the space needed during charging.
Scheduling and household demand
The UK product page documents app scheduling, charging history and remote access. Zaptec Sense is the accessory used to monitor the building’s demand; it is not included merely because a retailer describes the charger as smart.
Have the installer state the configured current limit and explain how the setup responds to other household loads. If a named tariff or third-party service is essential, verify its current eligibility and account requirements before committing to the hardware.
Installation and protection
The UK unit’s built-in PEN detection is a material difference from some other models. It does not eliminate external circuit protection: the model-specific manual describes the upstream RCD and breaker requirements. The installer must assess the whole circuit and supply.
Keep the commissioning and account records after handover. Connected features rely on the communications available at the mounting position, so check coverage there rather than only inside the house.
Comparing like-for-like prices
The table uses the same black UK order code at each supplier. It excludes the vehicle lead, Sense, delivery and installation. Other finishes and overseas variants are not included.
Ask for a complete installation quotation before treating the lowest bare-unit price as the lowest overall cost. The dated figures are observations, not a promise that a seller will retain that price.
Warranty and further checks
Zaptec advertises a five-year guarantee. The UK manual separately describes security-update support; a support period and a product guarantee are different commitments.
See the Zaptec brand page for the range. This is a sourced reference page, not a hands-on test or installation guide.
Manufacturer documents and sources
Specifications apply to the UK models identified above. Follow the instructions for the exact unit supplied; a product summary is not an installation manual.
