Sync Energyformerly BG SyncEV

Sync Energy is part of the Luceco Group, alongside electrical brands including BG and Masterplug. It is the current name for the EV-charging business previously sold as BG SyncEV. The brand now covers residential and workplace charging as well as batteries, inverters and home-energy management.

The Sync Energy app provides charging schedules, energy-use information and cost tracking. Its website separates residential installation services from commercial project support, and provides an approved-installer network. Owners with older BG-branded equipment can use the legacy name to identify their charger when consulting the current support service.

This overview is based on manufacturer information, not hands-on testing. See our editorial standards for how we check charger information.
