Model and configuration choices
vecGO 2.0 has four current UK hardware codes in the manufacturer’s 2026 documents. VEC01-N and VEC03-N are single-phase 7.4 kW units; VEC02-N and VEC04-N need a suitable three-phase supply for up to 22 kW. Codes ending 01 or 02 have a Type 2 socket, while 03 or 04 have a fixed 5 m Type 2 cable. The charger is one model family, but the connection and electrical supply differ by exact code. Older VEC01/VEC03 listings refer to earlier hardware and are not included in the comparison prices on this page. evec current range; socketed data sheet; tethered data sheet.
The illustration on this page depicts the socketed VEC01-N. A separate cable is needed for this variant; the tethered versions have a built-in cable. The 22 kW maximum is available only with a suitable three-phase installation and vehicle AC charging capability. evec user instructions.
App, access and tariffs
The charger can start by plug-in, evec app or RFID. The published data sheets also list Ethernet OCPP support for compatible management platforms. Scheduling through an app is different from a direct smart-tariff integration controlled by an energy supplier; the cited manufacturer documents do not name one. Confirm tariff eligibility with your supplier before relying on a specific discount. Socketed data sheet; product brochure.
Solar, load and installation
evec lists an ECO mode for solar surplus charging. Dynamic home-load management needs an optional CT clamp and correct installation, so the charger alone should not be assumed to monitor household current. The data sheets list open-PEN and residual-current protection, but the installer must assess the supply and upstream protection for the site. Socketed data sheet; product brochure.
The tethered data sheet gives VEC04-N an IP65 rating while the other listed variants are IP55. Check the actual code if the installation location makes ingress protection important. The standard warranty is three years; the two-year extension is an optional add-on. Tethered data sheet; socketed data sheet.
