How Charge Max differs from Easee One
Charge Max adds MID-certified energy measurement and support for three-phase charging to a compact socketed design. Easee lists it as available in the UK. It is a separate model from Easee One, rather than simply One with a longer cable. See the manufacturer’s product page.
The distinction matters when specifying a charger for recorded energy use. A MID meter is a hardware capability, not automatic approval by an employer’s reimbursement scheme or a promise that a particular billing platform is included. Confirm the intended reporting workflow before purchase.
Power depends on the installation and car
The maximum three-phase rating needs an appropriate three-phase supply and a vehicle that accepts that AC rate. On a suitable single-phase circuit, the headline maximum is 7.4 kW. Choose from what the property and vehicle can actually support, not simply the largest number on the listing.
The socket also makes cable selection a separate decision. Include a suitable lead in the budget and check its route with the car parked normally. Locking that lead in place can make regular use more convenient without creating another model variant.
Readable metering and local controls
The MID display is on the right-hand side of the internal Chargeberry, beneath the front cover. The user guide explains how it is accessed; it is not an exposed screen on the charger face. Check access and side clearance with the installer before settling the mounting position. The front light strip is a status indicator, not a replacement for the meter display. User guide.
At handover, confirm account ownership, access permissions and how to view consumption. Keep the installation records and charger identification somewhere accessible to you, not solely in the installer’s account.
Solar and supply protection
Solar charging and automatic adjustment against whole-property demand require the compatible Equalizer setup. Local sharing between chargers is a different function. A quote should make clear which hardware is included and how the system will measure the relevant energy flows.
Do not transfer Easee One’s UK PEN-protection specification to Charge Max because the cases look similar. Ask the installer to design the earthing and external protection for this exact unit and supply. The internal AC/DC protection does not remove that responsibility.
Interpreting the supplier table
The table compares product 10233 without extra equipment. The illustration shows the white-cover appearance; check the supplied cover colour and any extra cover cost when ordering the black version priced above. This comparison does not mix the similarly named Charge, Core or Up models into the result. Prices include VAT but exclude installation and delivery, and should be checked again before ordering.
Warranty and source documents
Easee specifies five years for Charge Max, subject to its warranty procedure. This differs from the standard UK guarantee on One. Follow the model-specific user guide and keep purchase and commissioning evidence.
