Choose the correct Notus
Hydra’s current domestic range lists Notus. The official sheet names HN-7-SO for a socketed unit and HN-7-T for a fixed 5 m cable. The illustration depicts the HN-7-T tethered body. The data sheet rates the unit up to 7 kW; some marketing uses 7.4 kW, so use the supplied model documentation when comparing electrical specifications. Hydra domestic range; Notus data sheet.
Solar and household load
Hydra lists both solar use and domestic load balancing, but each needs an optional CT and suitable installation. Do not assume the base charger automatically measures household load or solar export. The Nexus Cloud Pro app provides schedules and usage records; the cited sheet does not confirm a direct integration with a named energy-supplier tariff. Notus data sheet.
Protection and installation
The unit includes 6 mA DC leakage and PEN-fault detection. Hydra specifies an external 40 A MCB and lists TN, IT and TT supply networks. A qualified installer must design the complete circuit and protection for the site. The sheet gives the enclosure IP55, with the socket lid IP54; confirm the exact mounting position accordingly. Notus data sheet.
Price, warranty and documents
The table compares only exact-code HN-7-T tethered units, with VAT included. It excludes delivery, optional CT equipment and installation; seller prices can change. Hydra’s three-year warranty is conditional: year 1 includes parts and labour, year 2 parts only, and year 3 parts only requires registration before the end of year 2.
